Artist Statement

Faye Siytangco’s practice examines how material, culture, and systems shape the way we understand place and belonging. Working with porcelain, she draws from personal history, cultural experience, and movement across places, alongside a career in technology, to explore how systems—cultural, digital, and material—attempt to organize lived experience. From foraged materials and hand-built forms to modular porcelain installations, her work traces the tension between control and contingency, optimization and failure.  Through embodied making, she questions precision, authorship, and the systems that quietly influence how we locate ourselves in the world.
