Thinking<>thinging explores making as a form of cognition. Composed of 450 modular porcelain tiles formed within identical molds, the work begins with repetition and control, then allows warping, misalignment, and material drift to emerge. Each tile registers both intention and refusal—evidence that thought is not separate from matter but produced through it. 

This work embodies a post-precision ethos through clay where material resistance and human touch introduce friction, preserving variability, incompleteness and ethical restraint as a resistance to hyper-optimized infrastructures that dominate modern life. 

Drawing from ideas of creative thinging and material engagement theory, the installation treats clay not as passive medium but as active collaborator. Structure becomes provisional, precision becomes unstable, and form carries the trace of thinking as something tactile, contingent, and alive.
